What is Self-Awareness? 3 ways to live with Self-Awareness

Self-Awareness is an art of living. It protects oneself from choosing the wrong path. It identifies one's personality. It begins with birth. But as we grow, forgets the meaning of life. There are certain circumstances which redirect our path.

It is an act of taking the right decisions with an open set of mind. It shows the separate identity from others. It directs the path of happiness. It can relate to own beliefs, feelings, and senses. It is like food.

As food is the basic need of life, in the same way, self-awareness is the medicine which one can take. It is a lifetime foundation technique with the help of which one should know oneself. One's honesty shows at the time of practicing. There are three ways of self-awareness.

Use your senses

Throughout life, one would neglect one's own senses while performing different roles. Our Senses are the key to choose a particular thought in the form of action. It is not a one time process. In the current scenario, one chooses an action depending on others.

This is the reason one may not aware. If one wants to feel awareness. Everyone must see yourself first. Do not follow the path blindly. And the second thing is controlling power on yourself.

Whatever work you are doing either sleeping, eating, reading, walking, traveling etc. One shall be aware of every action. Thus, it is important to notice yourself as a teacher.

Assess your self-talk

The first step in self-awareness is to talk to yourself.  Whatever thoughts appear in the mind, just see and trying to filter them. It helps you to overcome negative energies. It makes you lighter from inside. It transforms your whole personality.

Tune into your Life

Feelings seem like the mirror of any person. Before taking any action, start judging yourself whether the thoughts and feelings are in the opposite direction or in the same direction. These are the physical signs that appear in front of others.

It shows according to the time and situation. A warm feeling in your face might mean you’re embarrassed. A feeling of ‘butterflies’ in your tummy can mean you’re nervous. Clenching your teeth might mean you’re angry.

At last, I can close with the awareness of physical signs that might show how you’re feeling. By engaging with how you’re feeling, you can get better insights into what you like, what makes you feel uncomfortable and what makes you angry.
